SOFT GLOW

This tutorial shows you how to give your image a softer look. Makes it more smooth and improves it some if it's not the best quality picture to begin with. It also makes the colors more vibrant.

Step 1

Alright, so first off let's take an image. It's in nice condition, but kind of dull

Step 2

Now that you have the picture, paste it in your photoshop. Then duplicate the layer, you should have 2 layers now.

Step 3

Now click on Filter>>Blur>>Gaussian Blur and set the Radius to about 3 pixels, you can do more or less if you feel the need to. This will blur the second (top) layer.

Step 4

Now go to layers and click on the second layer. Then set the layer effect (the drop down menu next to the opacity) to overlay. You could also set it to soft light if you don't want such a big difference. Here it is:

And voila! You're done :)
